Oda Jaune - wOnderlust

Bulgarian-born, German-trained and Parisian by adoption, Oda Jaune has been one of the most intriguing figures on the European art scene for the past ten years. Her singular, unconventional work has contributed to the spectacular revival of figurative painting in France. Poetic, tortured, sometimes erotic, even naturally feminist, her painting explores the depths of the unconscious without inhibition. The health crisis and forced isolation have prompted her to reflect on the evolution of the human species and its relationship with the world: “After a year of pandemics, I'm fascinated by the idea of transformation, of human beings and nature, into someone or something always new”.
