Jeanne Vicerial. Armors, the first book dedicated to the artist and published on the occasion of the eponymous exhibition at Galerie Templon Paris, brings together all the works, some archive images, as well as an unpublished text by philosopher Emanuele Coccia and a conversation between Jeanne Vicerial and art historian Ida Soulard.
France's first graduate in fashion design in 2019, and a resident of the prestigious Villa Medici in 2020, 31-year-old Jeanne Vicerial is already widely recognized for her avant-garde practice. Through her research, she has pushed back the codes of the textile industry, questioning the made-to-measure/ready-to-wear dichotomy. Her artistic approach subsequently focused more on the place of women and the female body in society, regularly associating other designers - set designers, perfumers, musicians - with her projects.
